Trips - mobile - Polirinia
This little trip is very easy, but nice. You need less time to go there by car on a good road with a wonderful view too. Going to Kissamos, have a look for the traffic sign “Polirinia”. It’s easy to find and the road goes through the mountains u p to the old city of the ancient harbour Fallasarna. After about 20 minutes we reached it. In the older days Polirinia has had its own coins. Up from the hill they could control the harbour all over. Nowadays we still have these views while walking the little footpaths around.
In the village side by side, traditional white painted houses standing closed to the rocks. Walking on the historical cobblestones you can feel the older tim es still now.
On the head of the villages is a church. Standing there you can see the old wall of the city and you can have an easy walk around.
You became hungry? No problem, Polirinia has two restaurants. In each of them the food is very nice and you can enjoy the old traditional Greek kitchen at its best.
